I’m amazed by the number of information products out there that could be getting media publicity but don’t. The main reason is, people don’t think they can do it, so they don’t even try. I know, because I was one of them.
But, luckily I was willing to open the market up and explore the opportunity. And once I did, it turned out to be the easiest money I ever made.
They say that publicity is worth at least 3 times the value of advertising. Just like a paid ad in an email newsletter is not nearly as effective as an endorsement from the newsletter writer. The reporter or host has a relationship with his viewers and the featured stories are seen as an endorsement rather than just advertising. It’s the best free advertising you can get and can really take your career to the next level.
When I say media coverage, it doesn’t have to be Good Morning America right away. You can start out with your local newspaper or radio station and build up your media resume. Then you can take that interview and use it to get more press.
Just think about all the crap that gets featured everyday. The media has to keep coming up with new stories. Getting them to cover your story is not a difficult as it seems. You can do it, if you just do it.

Right now I’ll just tell you that the first thing I would do with those products is create a physical book from the information. This will automatically increase your chances. If you have a real book on the subject, you’re automatically deemed an expert.
