My secret weapon

My secret weapon…

p_139Back in 2001, I was the greenest newbie you could imagine, all wet behind the ears and stuff lol.  At the time I was living in a tiny one-bedroom with my wife, working for Chase all day and taking night classes for my MBA. The only time I had to work on my little Internet project was late at night and on the weekends.

I remember buying an old refurbished eMachines computer for $200 and setting up a work area in our bedroom. Being up late punching away at the keyboard used to drive my wife crazy, but she saw that I was onto something and never complained too much.  She’s such a sweetheart :-).

Back then I used to build websites in FrontPage that never seemed to come out like the popular sites the “Gurus” were making.

In fact, there was a point where I was completely stuck and I questioned if I could ever make enough to live the “internet marketing lifestyle” I dreamed about.  I was almost ready to call it quits many times (thankfully I didn’t).

So if you’re having any of the following roadblocks, I can totally relate:

– You’re hesitant to commit to a niche or project
– You keep searching for a great idea that never seems to come
– You can’t find the right people to get stuff done
– You know what you need to do but for some reason it just doesn’t
get done
– Things you work on don’t seem to come out like you envisioned
– You jump from one thing to the next
– You feel like you’re all alone in business and nobody cares
– You wish you had an expert to ask for help without being charged
an arm and a leg

I was spinning my wheels for years trying to make it work.  Then it
all started to click for me.  Today my “little Internet project”
has produced over $4 million in sales and now I’m {insert
unnecessary boast here} lol.

If I had to credit one thing for my breakthrough, my so called
“secret weapon” so to speak, I’d have to say it was when I stopped
trying to do everything myself.

No I didn’t go out and hire a bunch of people, I simply expanded my

I had friends and successful colleagues I could ask questions like:

– Hey, can you take a look at this for me?
– Hey, what do you think of this idea?
– Who is the best person for this?
– What’s working for you right now?
– How did you get your site to look like that?
– What’s the best way to do this…?
– Could you introduce me to him? etc.

It seems simple, but that was my real breakthrough which I could not
have succeeded without.

Do you have that kind of network?  I’m not talking about jokers on
the free forums trying to sell you stuff. I’m talking about real
successful people who genuinely want to help you.

On Thursday’s free workshop, we’re going to teach you a bunch of
killer stuff like – what’s working to get free traffic; how newbies
are earning money today; what are some hot untapped niches and
opportunities, etc.

But the main thing I’m going to do is show you how to join the
network of Internet marketing superstars I’ve assembled on my new
site  I truly think this is the best way I
can help you succeed.
